Te juro no te voy a mentir
Ni te voy a vender
Te voy a curar
Yo no quiero otra vuelta
Quiero esta para disfrutar
Lo que hay para mí
Lo que hay para vos
Llegamo’ hasta acá
Vamo’ a hacerla hoy.
Y me pongo contento voy a tener

Let It Be
When I find myself in
times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to
me
Speaking words of
wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of
darkness
She is standing right
in front of me
Speaking words of
wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of
wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken
hearted people
Living in the world
agree,
There will be an
answer, let it be.
For though they may
be parted there is
Still a chance that
they will see
There will be an
answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Yeah
There will be an
answer, let it be.
And when the night is
cloudy,
There is still a
light that shines on me,
Shine on until
tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the
sound of music
Mother Mary comes to
me
Speaking words of
wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
There will be an
answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Whisper words of
wisdom, let it be.

I am looking forward to receiving your application. To those of you who are my students this year, there are special credits to be won in exchange of a project involving music and the subject that you share with me, i.e. Didactics, Practicum Workshop I, Language I or Civilization and Culture of English Speaking Countries.
For those of you who are not doing any subject this year, it may be a chance of getting in contact with CERP once again, without the pressure of timetables and homework, and finding a line of study and research that may prove useful in the future.
For my dear colleagues, it is a way of reminding you of the great contributions that you could be able to make to this gigantic, crazy, colorful - and colourful too-, musical dream that I share with Gonzalo and a few crazy people like myself.
Since the project is not just for the students in the English Department, but also for any cerpian, both teachers and students, feel free to invite your cerpfriends to share ideas with us too!
I would like to add that the main objective of this project is to gather people who like both music and language to:
1- Share ways of dealing with songs in any subjects-Learn from each other how to teach songs in a language class
2- Be in direct contact with real musicians who will back up the project.
3- Work together to create an artistic number to share with the community- consider videotaping
4- Improve our English, our Spanish and get in touch with other languages both culturally and phonetically
5- Create a link with schools and highschools regarding music- consider visiting schools, joining the school choir in Atlántida 1 and Atlántida 2, teaching school and prescholers how to sing in English, etc.
6- Build a musical profile collectively
7- etc etc etc
I dare you! |

A Note from the Troupe
We
don’t sing. We don’t dance. We don’t act.
We are neither performers nor writers (in fact, we’d prefer to hide
under a paperbag). We have never stepped
on a stage, nor even spoke in public outside of our classrooms.
We
are teachers. We are students. We are citizens of Uruguay. We are citizens of the world. And we have something to say…
This
has been our experiment: Can we bring a
group of people together from different walks of life, who may not speak the
same language, and with polemical points of view – bring them together in the
name of art for the sake of expression, communication, and basic human
understanding and empathy? Can the
shared experience of art in this moment allow us to forget our differences and
understand one another better?
We
believe we can. We hope this experience
will help you believe in the power of art and communication to promote exchange
of ideas and mutual understanding so that we all may live in a better, more
harmonious world one day.
Una Nota del Grupo
No
cantamos. No bailamos. No actuamos.
We have
never stepped on a stage, nor even spoke in public outside of our
classrooms.
We
are teachers. We are students. We are citizens of Uruguay. We are citizens of the world. And we have something to say…
